These plastic and foam deli takeout containers are light weight and usually used for takeout soups and salads. The foam is good for items needing insulation, hot or cold, but it is not recommended for packing ice cream. Robert uses the 32oz. foam container for his ice tea, it's not pretty, but it's functional. Foam and plastic come in many different sizes, squat and tall. We do not recommend freezing or microwaving in them. The heavy duty polypropylene come in different sizes, can be used for freezing, (leave room for expansion) and can be microwaved on the defrost level. The 4oz. size is used in Miami for Flan. The polypropylene 10lb. tub, when covered in cellophane or mylar, also makes a great ice bucket. The plastic lids fit tight enough to transport or for resale.
